Graduate Students

If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in our lab, you will first need to apply to MSU before their deadline (see application portal). We only accept students based on rotations. The admissions programs most aligned with our lab’s work and that allow rotations are: Biomolecular Science (BMS): biomolecular.natsci.msu.edu/ and Plant Biology (PLB): https://plantbiology.natsci.msu.edu/graduate-program/application-process.aspx. 

To find out if our lab might be a good fit for you, it is advised that you reach out to Dr. Rhee (rheeseu6@msu.edu) before applying to MSU during summer/early fall. After application submission, you may be asked to interview by Zoom or in person. After admission and acceptance, you can request to do a rotation in our lab. After all rotations are finished at the end of the first year, we will discuss to determine if our lab is the right environment for you.
